We can't read your code.
There's no server to read it with. Last updated 3 October 2026.
The short version
- Your code and your reviews never pass through a server of ours.
- The app has no analytics, no tracking and no crash reporting.
- This website has no analytics, no cookies and no third-party scripts.
- We learn your email address and subscription status when you subscribe, and nothing about your work.
What stays on your Mac
Review Master keeps its data in a folder on your computer: the pull requests you opened, review maps, review drafts, fix verdicts, Autopilot rules and history, your settings, and a cache of the repositories you reviewed. Your GitHub sign-in is kept in the macOS keychain. None of this is sent to us. You can open the folder, or clear the cache, from Settings.
What leaves your Mac, and to whom
- To GitHub, with your own sign-in: requests to read your pull requests, and the reviews, comments and merges you choose to submit.
- To your AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI), through the Claude or Codex tool you installed, under your own account: the pull request's description and changes, and files of that pull request the model reads while reviewing. Their privacy terms apply to that data. It does not pass through us.
- To our download host: a check for app updates, which like any web request shows your IP address.
The phone companion
If you turn the companion on, your Mac and phone talk through a relay we host. Everything between them is end-to-end encrypted with keys only your devices hold, so the relay passes sealed traffic it cannot read. It keeps no account and no review; it stores only what it needs to let your own devices reconnect. Notifications are sent by your own Mac through Apple's or Google's push service and contain the pull request's name, never the review. The phone app is served from our hosting provider, which, like any web host, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver it.
Your subscription
Payments are handled by our reseller, Paddle. They collect your payment details and billing address; we never see your card. To know whether your subscription is active, we keep your email address, your subscription status and dates, and the names of the computers you activated. We use them to unlock the app, to answer your support requests and to send messages about your subscription. We do not sell or share them, and we do not send marketing email without your consent.
This website
The site is plain pages with no analytics and no cookies. It remembers your light or dark choice in your browser. Comments you type on these pages stay in the page and are never sent anywhere.
How long we keep it
Data on your Mac stays until you delete it. We keep subscription records while your subscription is active and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us for the subscription data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to support@reviewmaster.dev. Everything else is already in your hands, on your own computer.
Changes
If this policy changes we update the date above, and for important changes we tell you in the app or by email.
Who is responsible
